Not bad, indeed. I think ED stands for aspherical element(-s) in Nikon lingo.

btw this is first time I see non-round manholes (last photo).
 
Looked it up, and it stands for "Extra-low Dispersion", used to correct chromatic aberration. I knew what they were, and how they worked, but I just couldn't remember what the E stood for. Getting old sucks big time.

Good stuff from those of us who treasure viewing snapshots & having fun with P&S camera's. I wish there were more of us here on RFF, but the P&S photo thread is good.

BTW Phil a crew has been called out 9am tomorrow (Sunday) morning. They are moving the N&W 611 from Roanoke to Spencer for the Steamliner event next weekend & on to restoration to put her back on the tracks for excursions. Trackside from Roanoke to Spencer will be full of foamers tomorrow. :D
