I am negotiating on a Nikon M Rangefinder camera with a Nikkor collapsible 50mm f1.5 lens. If and when I purchase the camera I would like to know what I might expect to pay and what I might expect to sell for. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you want to buy the camera in order to resell it?

Normally I would say that you have to pay a similar amount to what you can sell it for - unless you know something about the camera that the seller and buyer don't, or unless you want to take a gamble of buying at the low end of the price bracket and selling at the high end. If you are not a good judge of camera prices it's probably a bad idea to try and make money from this.

It will be proper value as the same as Nikon F6.
For me, the Nikon M rangefinder camera is very interesting item.
What can I help for you? I am live in Japan.

A Nikon M with a collapsible 5cm f2 just sold on ebay for $5000!
Same camera sold for $1600 on ebay two weeks earlier!!

Normal price range on a Nikon M without synch terminals is about $2500 to $3500

BTW, there is no collapsible 5cm F1.5, whoever you are negotiating with must be hoax---that's if they are offering you a 5cm f1.5 collapsible!
Are you negotiating with a ebayer claiming they have one to sell ,after they saw you bidding on ebay?

The only collapsible lenses Nippon Kogaku ever made are as follows

5cm f3.5
5cm f2.0
5cm f3.5 Micro

On a related note, does having the original, signed quality inspection sheet increase the value of a M? I picked up a M (synch) a few years back that had the QC sheet tucked into a flap of the original case. Just wondering if this might increase the camera's value (even though, right now, I have no plans on selling it).

How come you did not buy it Kiu? It was a gift, even at $5000.

1) I missed the Auction, I am not ebaying as much
2) I am tired of Nikon M, I have/had a few
3) $5000 is a lotta money
4) I am spending too much time on Message Boards these days
5) I got a Nikon D50 for $275 here @RFF
