Nikon S2 guestion

Hi all,
I've been working on my S2 and have one question. When you remove
the rewind knob and take it off is there a washer between the knob and
the top of the shaft or it's lubed and that's it.

The washer is optional, a washer is added if there isn't enough clearance between the knob and the top cover. The washers vary in thickness depending on how much clearance is needed.

Hi,
Thank you, mine didn't come with a washer, but maybe in the past
it was their, maybe it was lost or didn't have it in the first place. Have
to look in a part's bin for one.
