Nikon SLR Lens Repair

So I just picked up a nearly full set of manual focus Nikkor lenses in a trade. The F-stop's are stuck on two of the lenses and in need of CLA and repair (50mm f1.2 and a35mm f1.4 both are AIS). Is it worth getting them repaired? If so, where would you recommend (I'm in the Bay area if that helps).

50/1.2 AIS ? I'm not jealous (much..)

I got a 50/1.4 AI(s?) dirt cheap as it was fungussed. Half an hour and a bit of cleaning fluid later, I had a good-as-new fast (but not compared to f/1.2....) lens. If you're handy, patient and methodical it's reasonably straightforward to get the optics out to reach the aperture and linkages. However if you don't fancy it, it's better to find a repairman.

Yes, it's worth getting them repaired if the elements are free from "cleaning marks" as they are fine lenses, check prices on fleabay and if purchase + repair cost <= average selling price then go for it.

Try Authorized Photo Services in Morton Grove, IL. They are really good with all types of Nikon equipment, and have come through twice to save my own gear. I had an old AF 80-200 f2.8 lens with sticky leaves which they brought back in three days. The cost was about $365, two years ago. I got the lens back just 10 after shipping it.
