Thank to folks on the board here I gave Nippon a try. I brought my old beat up cameras needing miscellaneous repairs that most other repair shops deemed not worth fixing (mirror fell off, damper pad gone) as it's on an Exakta Twin TL. The guy at Nippon patiently looked at my inquiries on 3 different cameras, and ended up finding a screw for my Minolta AL's rewind handle (was painful physically before, now it's easy), and at first refused but then decided to just glue the mirror back and glued on some foam pad for the damper. All right there and in a reasonable time while I waited.

I understand that they didn't want to do the mirror job because they'd have to also clean the camera and give me 6 months warranty. So, when this man decided to just help me out without accepting the job, he only charged me $5 each for the estimate fee.

I couldn't believe there are still people like this around. Made my day.

They did a great job on a Contax T I sent them a while back. They were a pleasure to deal with, glad you had a positive experience as well.

They fixed my ZM 25/2.8 wobble issue. Lens was bone dry as well. Could hardly turn the focus ring.

Recently had them CLA my 35/1.8 Nikkor in LTM. They got rid of all the lens wobble and a stiff focus. This lens was allegidly overhauled and came with a warrenty, but even after I sent it back to the seller, a repair facility, it still wasn't right. Nippon does expert repairs. It became evident that the original seller of my 35/1.8 Nikkor had been overhauled by hacks and it took Nippon to really get the lens fixed. Nippon also discovered a missing locking screw which they replaced.

Fast turnaround also.
