There have been yearly RFF euromeets since at least 2007 (Paris, see https://www.flickr.com/photos/pheauteaux/albums/72157600134767092)
This is the frst year without a traditional meetup ....

No RFF Euromeet 2017? There is a simple reason for that: because no one organized it this year.
2012 in Istanbul was great and 2013 in Prague was super nice.
The „downfall“ of the Euromeet began in 2014 when three people met in Gdansk, none of the three voted for the location. I skipped that meeting. None of the four persons who went to Heidelberg in 2015 voted for the location. In Heidelberg Georg, Janko and I (as the majority) decided that we have enough of this democratic process where people with no real commitment send others with their vote to a certain location. We decided to meet in Trieste in 2016 and invited the forum to come. It was a small meet with four people but we had a really great time. Georg decided, that after 2015 and 2016 he would not continue to organize the polls on the forum. Before that, Martin organized a couple of Euromeets but he left the forum in 2014.
As you see, the role of the Euromeet organisator is vacant. And it doesn’t work without one person taking the responsibility for the polls and for keeping the discussion rolling all the time.

Normally, the euromeet is in May. Could be aim for june in this case ? Maybe in Luxembourg ?

What about Bucharest? Not that I'm overly patriotic, but I simply cannot afford to travel in the near future. However, I am ready to host some of the fellow rff members and be the tour guide (and share my darkroom for those who are eager to develop their films). Also, there are plenty of things to photograph, especially outside Bucharest. Eastern Europe can have its charm, so what do you say?
