I've just received a new LTM adapter for my NEX-3, which I purchased from user rainbowimaging on the bay. The adapter itself seems to be very well made and fits my lenses well, but the camera refuses to let me use MF assist when it's attached. I've tried all the shooting modes with no luck. I think I can use the camera without the assist, but I'll probably miss the focus fairly often while squinting at the screen.
I have the newest firmware installed, so that shouldn't be the problem. Is anyone else using a similar adapter? Mine is labeled L39-NEX and is a fairly heavy little chunk of metal.

I have a nex 5. To use manual lenses via adapter, I have to go into setting first to allow shutter to fire without lenses mounted. Once that's done, when the camera senses no emount lenses present, it will change the soft button B to MF assist.
