Has anyone used the 40 Nokton on an R2M. My sense is that the framelines are quite a lot tighter than the 35/2.5 and so the 40 might work OK. Any experience to share?

I use it, mostly using an imaginary box a bit inside the 35mm frame lines. I cannot pretend to be very good at precise framing anyway.

I have a R2M and a 40 MC Nokton as well as a Zeiss 35 Biogon. Using the Nokton is not a problem. Takes a few rolls to get it right. The framelines set for 35 are pretty close for shots more than 20 feet away. For anything closer you may want to use 50 FL and add about 1/3 to the outside diameter of the FL or using the 35 FL reduce it by about 50% of the difference between the 50 and 35FL.
The Nofton is a great lens, nice for contrasty B&W work. But I really like the ZM Biogon. Performs better for color and very good for B&W.
I probably do not need both lenses.
