Not working as thumbnail or not at all ?

Hi folks,

I was wondering about this shot I posted some time ago. Obviously it doesn't attract as many viewers as female nudes or old cars.
I like it - obviously otherwise I had not posted it and would ask for your opinion after the poor resonace.
Due to the cold temperatures the glue became stuck and dried like ice creating a nice contrast to the deep blue. Ok it's graphic and if that doesn't appeal to anyone there nothing else to draw attention.

But my question : Does it work better once you see the full size rather than just the thumbnail that you didn't bother to open? Or does it suck ?

I didn’t see the thumbnail, but the photo is nice. Not amazing, but nice. Certainly doesn't suck. I like the colors and the texture.
