Now this is a chique camera bag

Looks nice, but doesn't seem very practical if you're trying to actually work with it and change lenses on the fly.

Nice looking bag. Not sure if I'd use it for camera gear due to how it opens. I tend to want things with straps and easy access from my neck, but it's sure pretty.

There are a few people on Etsy and other places who make some really amazing chic/cool looking leather bags for couriers, camera folk etc. Most seen to be crazy expensive.

One day I will pony up for something this posh and cool.

Until then, I spend the same amount of money on 3-6 less cool bags and have my choice based on my needs for the day.

Looks kind of sloppy to me, like a big piece of cow - er "Bison" - gathered up into a sack and a generic camera insert stuck inside. But the straps look weak, out of proportion. It can't be light either.

I bought my wife an antique real doctor's bag and it is sturdy, stiff-sided, and quite a nice bag for carrying delicate equipment. I wouldn't want to sling it over my shoulder but then I wouldn't want to sling this new bag either.

If you'd actually consider this bag then at least take a look at the Jill e bags, they are well made and more or less as practical as any of the other boat anchor camera bags: http://www.jill-e.com/camera-bags My wife uses the Jack Messenger as her carry-on. It's made from a mile of leather and shouts "steal me" just as well for $300 less! http://www.jill-e.com/camera-bags/jack-leather-messenger It's only Columbian leather though ~ hopefully cow, not peasant.

Chic ?
The bag is ridiculous - too big and heavy to carry around all day, and too complicated to use as a car bag. The most hilarious photo is showing the guy lugging all this stuff plus some "Chic" point and shoot dangling on a hook. If we come that low, then I prefer the look of a guy in torn jeans, with an Iphone in his rear pocket.

Really nice bag and I sure as hell couldn't make one for anything close to $500, but I wouldn't use it for a camera bag, it's a beast.

i don't like shoulder bags to be so large, but the doctor's bag opening is cool. the strap is too long in that photo; it should be hiked up and tucked under the arm.

That is very nice !

But if people looked at me carrying that bag, they'd call the police - "There's a very sloppy guy walking around here with beautiful, stolen camera bag."

Funny how this bag is selling the idea of what kind of photographer you can be. The best way to be a roaming photographer seems to be to get off the computer, looking at superfluous bags and go out the door and shoot. I suppose we are all guilty here.
