I don't suppose anyone knows if the Canon LTM f1.4 50mm lens (second model) is radioactive?

Everything I can find on the subject is either glowingly optimistic or urges burying all lenses in the garden and moving house at once. Panic is setting in.... 😕 🙁

I haven't read anything about that lens having any radioactive glass. Not that the radioactivity is anything to worry about it, just don't keep such lenses in your underwear, guys. More radiation from an airplane flight...

I haven't heard of that particular Canon lens being affected but even if it is, I don't think it is a problem. Two links you may find interesting:

Thank you John and Kim - clearly there is no meaningful risk: I think I was thrown by the amber coating of the lens and the remarks of an excitable person elsewhere!
