NY Times article about photographs of "Tank Man" in Tienanmen Square

There's an interesting article in today's paper about how each of four photographers captured his own picture of the man who tried to stop a column of tanks with his own body. All about being there and desperately trying to get the shot and smuggling the film out.

A couple years ago, I sold a 35 summicron to Jeff Widener - who was working in Hawaii at the time. (Widener was with the AP at the time of the Tiananmen Square massacre)

When I spoke with him in 2007, he was working on some project showing the darker side of Hawaii. Think it was all being done with B&W film.
I don't see that project on his site at this time, but he has some nice documentary work there. http://www.jeffwidener.com/h/
