Can't resist flogging my stuff today; I got some good shots in the city this week and wanted to show 'em off. Lens is the CZ Sonnar 50/1.5 in Amedeo adapter. I love this lens to bits...the bokeh is about the best thing ever, and it's so small and handles so beautifully. (Also, the guy at the used counter at Adorama was super impressed with the adapter. "This is quite well made, quite well made!")
Some garage/bar/club thing in Bushwick:
Student film on Sixth Avenue:
From the Manhattan Bridge:
The only vehicle in Williamsburg that is not a fixed-gear bike:
Near Union Square:
Teenagers hanging out after school:
The M8 is SUCH a good street camera. The ostensibly loud shutter, which is so audible in a quiet room, blends in completely with the noise of the street...by contrast, the otherwise comparable bessa/RD1 shutter sound cuts through surprisingly effectively (not that those aren't also fine street shooters). If I had an easier way to dial in compensation, it would be just about perfect.

Nice work, John. I especially like the shot of the "Ghost Bicycle." Check out this link for info on these: http://www.ghostbikes.org/new-york-city

My favourite is the shot from the bridge - I love the lighting.
