NYT: Pogue on super P&Ss

In the piece, Pogue says something that illustrates the different perspectives of the general public and folks who hang around places like this:

>>" S.L.R. cameras have enormous sensors, which is why professionals use them..."

Now, most of us would likely say full-frame DSLR's have normal size sensors, and P&S cameras have teeny-weeny sensors. A difference in expectations not lost on the marketing department.
 
It's interesting how technology shapes our expectations. I shoot and scan film and I'm much more interested in how an image looks at 1600px on my screen than how it might look on 11x14 paper.
