At 100+ today in AZ, felt like remembering being cool. Here is a set I took of the Ocean City MD boardwalk back in Feb.

Let me know what you think!
Thanks!

Some really nice shots here. The feeling of desolation is really strong and in a way in contrast to the (mostly) well kept surroundings and the lights being on in the empty streets and parking lots. And you are a very good story teller too - a thing I am trying to learn; my photos usually just stand alone even without a title, which is not always good.
Thank you very much for sharing!

Whatever
Would be interesting to go back there, say July 4th weekend, and do comparison shots. Bet it would look a lot different!

I'm thinking a lot more like Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers.

Thank you konicaman!
I have always used both photography and writing as a vehicle for personal expression, but before I started my artist website/blog I had never put them together. I used to think that my art/photos should just stand on their own, but found that really most people just didn't get them. When I started putting my words and images together I've gotten a much better response to both, and also, I think in the process have improved both my photography and my writing skills.
As much as part of me looks back fondly to my b&w darkroom days, embracing the new, the digital, the color and the internet and blogging has been really freeing to me.
I remember the first time I saw the quote:
"If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera" - Lewis Hine
And thought, "Hey! I can write, so why am I still lugging my camera around."
The answer is that we can *see* things differently through a visual art and explore things differently in words.
Just start writing!
