While perusing the medium format listings on ebay for my Mamya 645 I saw a Leica screw mount to Mamiya 645 adapter. Has anyone tried anything like this before?
My first thought was although my 50mm Summar probably would not have an image circle large enough to fill the frame it might actually vignette attractively. But on further reflection it might have the coverage.

Anybody have experience with this sort of thing?

Hello:

The Summar (42mm) was once sold mounted as a Micro lens. I've never used one as such but they should be adequet at 1x and above.

An enlarging lens could also be mounted. Some means to focus it might be desireable, but I think there are some bellows and extensions tubes out there.

Keep in mind that the back-focus distance on the Mamiya 645 is 63.30 mm while the LTM camera lens is 28.8 mm.

Rem,

I've heard from reliable sources that LTM lenses will cover 6X6. The lens registration is the main issue. You're going to have the equivalent of a 34.5mm extension tube between the lens and your Mamiya.
