Years ago I bought a Nikon D90 when they first came out. At the same time, I also grabbed a 70-300 lens for it. I bet I've used that 70-300 all of twice in the two decades I've owned it. I was wondering if could get an adapter for that lens such that it might work on newer digital Leicas. If so, what kind of adapter should I be shopping for?

Here's a picture of the lens..

The Nikon G lenses have a mechanical aperture control lever. An F to M mount G lens adapter (which has an aperture control ring) will allow manual aperture control. A non-G lens (or dumb) adapter will keep the lens fully stopped down. It is the Nikon E lenses that have electronic aperture control. Fortunately they stay wide open until electronically stopped down, so can be used with an adapter if wide open is workable.

Skipping all the previous posts but "WHY"
Why not? Visoflex has made wild things happen for decades, and the new electronic ones are the easiest yet. Now I’m wondering what some of my F mount lenses would do on an M. I don’t remember which ones have a stopdown lever, though - never really thought about it.
