Any Nikon F historians in the house?
I recently came across an older F plain prism body with the prism having a diopter correction lens glued on. It's an early enough body to have the non-threaded eyepiece. The modification was done pretty cleanly. The diopter lens was cut as a rectangle matching the size of the prism eyepiece bezel. Looks like it was done some time ago. I'm wondering if this was done by the owner's optician as a one-of-a-kind job or if someone offered this mod commercially. Anyone heard of this before?
