Oldest confirmed cave art is a single red dot

Unfortunately, the oldest cave painting was permanently damaged when someone taped over the red dot with a black electrical tape.

The artist then went on to paint another wall art without the red dot and charged the client 1000 more clam shells for leaving it out.

It is apparently possible that the red dot dates from the period of Neanderthal man, and the Neander valley is not so very far from Wetzlar . . . Is this coincidence, hmmm???

Spooky
;)

The original artist taped over it because he didn't want to draw too much attention to it.

Wow, the forum says this thread that was started an hour ago has had 12,907 views already. There must be a lot of people who appreciate cave art, or else the copyright lawyers are gearing up for a massive infringement lawsuit against Leica. Maybe a class action suit with all of humanity in the class.

An authorship class action on behalf of the original painters would be tricky, as they're extinct . . . Which means the case would go on for years - perfect for fees !!

The poor deluded sod who covered the red dot did so because there was a sabre tooth tiger waiting outside the cave ... and he'd heard that taping over the dot would make the cave invisible.

Street shooting before there were streets?

Unfortunately Apple patented everything, including ' a red circle ' which resembles a product of theirs, in the future.. we just haven't discovered yet.
