My Stylus Epic seems to have given up the ghost.
All I get on the LCD is a flashing "E."
It loads film but does not advance it.
Any thoughts?

don't have mine in front of me, but I would look for possible crud contamination of the sensor (mechanical/optical?) that determines if there is film in the camera.
next you could remove the battery for a week to possibly reset the camera. if I remember correctly, removing the battery, the camera remembers what exposure you are on, so a simple quick remove/replace won't do much.

Thanks for the idea.
I'll see what happens.

I had a similar thing once on the MjuII (European Stylus Epic). I had used a pencil to push the mid-roll rewind button, and the pencil tip had broken off and got stuck under the edge. Once removed, the flashing 'E' went away and the camera woke up again..
