I have aquired an Olympus 35 ECR, replaced the battery but the shutter seems to trip intermittently. I don't have any instructions for it either. Anybody got an idea about the shutter?

Thanks,
Tom Harrell

I couldn't get either one of the files open. Kim's required a password that I don't have and my PC would not open the other for some X, Y, Z reason.

Kim from what you said it sounds like this little camera has the battery for the light meter and that the shutter speed is electronic and decided by the light meter reading. Is that correct?

Hi Tom,
The password is "Pentax" and is given on the website. It was a rather forlorn attempt to stop all the manuals appearing on eBay. Fat chance. Just about all the Pentax manuals sold on CD have been thiefed from my site and eBay don't give a stuff. Moan over

The camera has a full programmed mode and sets both the aperture and shutter speed on the EV number.

Ah, okay! That makes sense. Many thanks for your help! I am retiring this April or May and I may decide to take the little camera apart and see if I can clean it up inside. That would make a "first project." After I get the yard work done of course!
