Hi Everyone! I need help with this newly acquired Olympus 35 SP. It had a few minor problems that I tried to fix.

Some backstory:
I found this on FB Market place for $30CAD. The seller mentioned that the timer was stuck in the lens. My guess is that the seller thought it was broken hence the price. I asked if if was working properly beforehand and they mentioned that the shutter seemed to be firing properly. I had a look at it in person and the shutter times seemed correct. The aperture was opening properly as well. I did notice that I could not see the rangefinder patch but all I needed to do was clean the small window in front of the camera. I also noticed a little bit of fungus on the inside of the lens.

I cleaned up the camera when I got home and to my surprise everything seemed to be working well. The infinity focus was off by a bit so I adjusted it horizontally. I also managed to disassemble the lens to clean the inner glass elements of the fungus. My particular camera had the glued on nameplate so that took a while to pry off.

The timer is still stuck in the lens but as I probably wont use it, and that it doesn't seem to be affecting anything else on the camera, I'm not planning on trying to fix that part.

I even checked with an LR44 battery just to see if the light meter still works. Again, to my surprise it does. I do have a wein cell battery on the way so I can test the accuracy of the light meter properly.

The Problem:
One last problem then. The film advance lever doesn't return after cocking the shutter. Not a problem in itself as I can just push it back, although its not as satisfying. My problem is that you can keep advancing the film without having to release the shutter.

I opened the bottom plate just to take a look and I found a loose part as shown in the image attached. It is a thin piece of metal with a slot in the middle. There also seems to be two points on either side of the slot where it used to be attached to something.

It doesn't seem to affect it ability to take a photo. For now I have taken it out but I would like to know how important it is and/or where its from.

Can anyone guide me as well on how to fix the film advance lever? I don't mind as much that it doesn't return but I don't like that I can advance the film endlessly without firing the shutter.

Oh the focus tab on the lens is missing too! If anyone knows what type of screw fits the two holes to attach it to the lens, it would be great help! If you have an extra focus tab on you or if you can point me in the direction of sourcing one would help too! It's just for authenticity. I could easily just attach a DIY focus tab myself.

Any help would be appreciated!
