I've have a mint IS-30 which has served me faithfully over the years, but in checking out the programing functions of the camera, I've discovered it's far more versitile than I thought it was. I found that I can program it for a 60 sec. shutter speed and everything in between in 10 sec. or less incliments. I never utilized that feature! I knew it had a built in spot meter which I have used, but I think I'm going to take it out and shoot some street shots and some night shots to see what it will actually do. Anyone have much experience with one of these? Pictures that I took around 12-15 years ago in Russia came out great, so I'm anxious to see what it will really do.

Good idea taking that beast out for another roll, do it! It seems like that entire line of Olympus IS zoom cameras are universally ignored these days, and I'm betting, like you, there's a lot of potential hidden under it's odd plastic shell - and they're practically free these days.

Post some shots if you get a chance, I'm interested to see what it can deliver!

I just picked up another one in mint condition for 9.95, with 6 month warranty from Hunt Camera. No other bids on it.
