Hello.
I'm evaluating buy a OM2 S/P .
I think this camera is less reliable that others OM one digit but what about battery life?
I know about its problems with battery drain.
It has a short battery life but... what is +/- a short life?
one day? a few weeks? one month?
If i take the battery out after use is better?
what can i expect if i buy this camera?

I would live to hear your experiences with this camera.
THANK YOU

I never really kept track with my OM2S's, but it was definitely in the months (way more than one). Taking the battery out would definitely help on the drain issue!:D

Silver oxide batteries (357, SR-44W, G-13, MS76, KS76, S76, 303) should last a few months. Alkaline (A76, LR44) and lithium (CR1/3N) (much) less. Setting the shutter speed ring to mechanical B does NOT turn the drain off. John

The OM-2S is the same as the OM-4, they gobble up batteries. I use silver oxide 357s and I take them out when I'm not using my OM-4.

For mine (now sold) I built an 'L' grip that held 2 AAA batteries configured to power up the camera. Lasted about 3 years per set.
