Olympus Pen S - Japan

We took a 10 day trip back to Japan to visit family and friends. On arrival we stayed in Tokyo Bakurocho to take it easy and rest from the plane ride, great food! Then we headed down to Yokouska and surrounding area.

I have to say taking a Pen is the best for trips like this, 1 camera, 1 lens and 1 roll of film. I took a light meter but did not use it at all, life in Japan is too fast.

Great post. An Oly PEN S is a great travel camera, and you got some great snaps on your trip to Japan. Nice work doing long exposures with the PEN!

I see one of your photos is captioned with F2, but I don't think any of the PEN Ss had F2. What PEN do you have?

My Pen has the 30mm f/2.8 lens so you're right. I should just say wide open.

The perfect outing for this type of camera. Just one roll of film for 10 days? That must have required a bit of restraint.

😀 I counted 80 pictures on the roll so not that much restraint at all. I only took 1 extra roll. That's the advantage of a Pen camera.

I do get to Japan quite often so the picture count is normal for me.

Beautiful photos! Thank you for posting them.

That green line may be the green light on the starboard wingtip of an airplane. You might not have seen it flying through your scene as you held the shutter open, but the film recorded its passage anyway.

Sorry but images are not sharp on my monitor..
I used Pen S and made 16x20 occasionally.
Lens dirty or out of whack..?
I loved the long lengths, 36=72..
great for travel.
