Olympus XA - Realignment of needle

So I had to take the cover off my XA and when I put it back together the inside needle is acting all crazy. Im not sure if there is a way to fix this. It was working fine before. It seems to fire ok and the speeds seem fine just the meter inside.

any help?

It may not be a physical alignment issue, but an electrical wiring or contact issue. Just speculating.

im thinking it might be a electrical issue, I noticed that a solder piece connecting the wire to the board came loose, the wire is still connected to the board, but not making a direct connection. So that may be it.

You may have crushed one of the meter wires when you pressed the top back down. John

I think, like some above have said, you have a short. I had a similar issue when cleaning the RF, make sure those wires that solder to the speaker on the top of the RF cover are not having the red touch the black. It might take some time, but I think that was it. When mine was having wire issues the needle would drop every time I moved the focus, go figure. Good luck!
