Just been reading a post in Autism Support Network on '' Constant ''
Something which is on going and comforting .
Obviously this raised all kinds of intellectual discussions about the definition of Constant ... [ it's as Asperger / Autism place so can get quite lively and insistent ! LOL ]
Contax / Kiev is constant for me , irrespective of their being '' cameras '' , just toys with history and contunuity ... not to mention the Arsenal techs still fixing my cameras ... magic .
Ok . Contax , Kiev , USSR are no more , but 1937 , right through to my visits to TOE , Kiev importers in the 70s/80s is Contstant for me in a fragmented world .
Taking my digital cameras out is also , now , a constant - Goddess knows what I would do without that framing / containing through a viewfinder [ masochistic 4/3rds ] or crystal clear M 8 .
It does not matter if I '' use '' the Kontaxes - it could well be a collection of Dinky Toys - needing no excuse for inanimation [ traded for potentially living Kievs LOL ]
ASdee is a struggle to see through a fog , so I worry away at things - why so many cameras when few will be used ? etc etc etc ...
But remove CAMERAS and substitute CONSTANTS and it all become clear .

Photography is a constant for me. It's a source of satisfaction.
