This is one of my first shots from my new Leica M8 shot early afternoon in fairly overcast light.
I am happy with the sharpness and colors but the original file size is only 29mb a bit small!

29MB looks as if your RAW converter is set to output 8bit TIF and not 16 bit depth files. The 8 bit compression of the RAW leica files will expand to include more than 256 (8 bits) steps per channel. My converted files are 60MB.

My converted 16 bit raw files are 126 MB when converted in Photoshop CS2. I've had to add an external HD and more RAM to handle them but prints come out fantastic. What software are you using to convert?

Thanks for the input, yes I had my export setting from Lightroom set to 8 Bit.
The file now outputs at 59MB
