.....you’ll Fall in Love with it! Bored with your photography, climbed to the top of the equipment ladder and you still not thrilled? ••• Buy a Stereo Realist, GAS attack the NOS mounting supplies, get a good viewer...••••• Seriously you will be Blown Away! Shoot fairly close at f 11 1/150 ISO 100 Fuji Depth of field is so deep set it at 12’ and shoot. Now, if you think only Leica Zeiss TTH, etc make great pin sharp distortion free lenses....you’ve never used the David White Anastigmat. •••• I kid you not...look at the slide of trees etc for awhile, let your gaze relax... and almost the only visual clue it’s Not a scene out the window, is that the leaves never blow in the breeze! The actual angle of perception in the viewer exactly matches what you see in the viewer as your eyes relaxx it’s just so visually natural . Ever Wonder why sooo many Stereo nude slides are onn eBay ??that real to Life thing is Real! So Just a Big Thumbs up to classical stereo photography

My only 3D camera is a 4-lens Nishika N8000. I've had it for 20 years, but I've never run even a single roll through it. Maybe I should. I saw a YouTube tutorial on how to create little 4-frame GIF animations that give the illusion of depth. I should give it a try....

I'd be curious as to how much you bought that Nishika for, new. Used ones sell regularly on ebay for near $200 -- likely more, if you have full kit with flash, etc. Aside from the novelty (which is cool; I'm about to develop my first roll from my Nimslo), they are very poorly made cameras, with plastic lenses, so, don't expect the shock and awe experienced by Ambro51, with the Stereo Realist.
The going rate for the Nishika is truly ridiculous -- something like those trendy P&S models going for big bucks. I was tempted to sell mine, but, the collector side of me said to keep it. The Nimslo, though, has glass lenses and much higher build quality. Hoping my images and 4-frame GIFs will be decent.

My camera was a "free gift" for listening to a pitch to buy a vacation time share in 1994 when we lived in San Jose. I imagine that they bought the cameras really cheap since they weren't successful on the open market.
I've always enjoyed photography, and it was a neat curio, but developing prints was so freaking expensive, even then, that I never wanted to incur the cost. I looked it up again and the lenticular prints are still shockingly expensive. GIF animations are something I hadn't thought of, but illusion is interesting, so I may give it a try.
Oh, my wife reminds me that I owe her $200 because of a mattress she bought and I never paid her back, so that camera may be going up for sale soon.

I use to shoot Stereo all the time. Pretty cool stuff. What's really cool is finding some old stereo slides from a family you never met and re-living the event. I also have a 3D projector.
