Today marks day 1 of my retirement. No more getting up at 4:00 in the morning and fighting the traffic to get to work.

Congratulations, I can't wait to join you!!!

(I have way too many years to go to be thinking of that.)

Thanks
I took early retirement. I'll be busy next week getting my investments in order.

I retired from professional work when I was 35.

Only do things I like now ....

Not a big difference actually!

May your retirement be long and satisfying, Colyn. Well done!

One of my best friends recently retired. He likes telling me how every morning now he sits on his porch with a newspaper and cup of coffee watching us "suckers" fight the traffic... every morning, and again every evening. I think he has become a jerk since he retired ;) ... but secretly I am very envious.

Enjoy your retirement! But, please, don't make the rest of us feel too bad about having to still work :)

Congrats on your retirement! Hope you will enjoy your free time.

I can see it on my horizon too, within 5 years, I think.

Colyn, from one recent retiree to another, welcome! Photography and retirement are excellent partners.

Still got forty years down the line, but forty years doing stuff you like is OK I guess :)

Congratulation! I am planning mine in 25 years time unless I struck lottery or something! Enjoy your well earned rest! :) At least you get to take photos on a daily basis! :)

hey,congrats!
ups, that says "rats"

anyway, plenty of time now to take photographs. Or make or whatever.

Congratulations. I'm sure you'll fill the days with lots of fun things to do. I'm about 4 years away and starting to strategize a little about what I'm going to do with my free time!

Best wishes.

Congratulations colyn! Wow, I wish I could retire. But with my last kid in her senior year at college at least the expenses will be reduced a bit and we'll be able to put some more away. Retirement's a long way away for me... :(

Enjoy colyn! :)

Very best wishes Colyn. I retired four years ago and don't regret it. You will certainly find things to fill your time and that you enjoy doing.

Heh. I just got back from training today and take out my first load Monday... ;) Enjoy it, Colyn, we'll catch up soon enough. Now off to drop off what little film I managed to shoot there...
