The collectors sure have pushed up values lately. I am glad to see the interest. But as a user I am also sad when many things are now out of my price range.

I'm not much concerned for the user, as those things are pure collectables at this point, and could be recreated relatively cheaply.

I can't imagine having enough money to either splurge or diversify that much.

Below it in the link, the black paint Leica MP with the Summicron 50 mm lens would be the better deal at a cool $750,000. At least you could use that patina rich set.
