This is one of many hundreds of portraits and candids I have shot with the X100 in the past two weeks while on assignments. Today is Buddhist monk and photographer Matthieu Ricard, shot using settings that emulate Kodachrome. I also photographed him with Tri-X in an M3, he loved seeing me use both cameras together on a paid job.

One thing I have noticed is how well the X100 handles mixed light. In this photo shot at F/2, you can see tungsten on his forehead and window boxed reflective sunlight on his face. I always shoot jpeg with the X100, if I blow it in camera, then it is like film, I blew it period, the way I love to shoot.
