Hiya,
When I shoot colour, as a film user, I have always tended to shoot slides, lower grain, plus a certain level of colour saturation and density I guess. Now that I have started to do RA4 printing at home I have been playing again more with C41 films, in particular my old love Reala, and 160VC/400NC -- I love the Portra films, Reala is lovely, Ektar when I get some is fantastic and Superia 800/1600 are surprisingly good for 35mm colour neg.
Anyway, the real point of this was I am used to looking at photos from slides, with a limited dynamic range but this has suited me fine and will continue to do so (I still love Kodachrome, Provia, Elite Chrome/Elite Chrome Extra Colour and Velvia) but I haven't shot any colour neg, for landscape for some time. And it's refreshing to see a colour neg, just for the sheer detail that can be found especially in the shadows. This was a nice surprise below.
Not a great photo, it's an OK one but the detail had me quite enraptured for some reason. Colour neg is good fun!

Just wanted to share this, just for the surprise I get from looking at colour neg when I am so used to looking at colour slides! 😛
