Knowing there are one or two people from the Philippines here, I thought I'd seek some advice.

Twice we've tried sending photos of our son to his "lola" in Manila (from New Zealand), and twice the photos have failed to get through.

So, rather than trying again, I thought I'd see if someone could recommend a place in Manila where I can upload some jpegs, and have them printed "locally"?

Thanks

AFAIK, none of the labs here offer that sort of service. You may be better off having that print made there and mailing the photo by traditional mail or courier service. Make your mom (mom-in-law?) happy by sending her a "real" photo of her 'apo' instead....:D

An alternative is to send a high quality, high resolution jpeg to someone you know here to receive the file properly and then send this file physically to one of the better labs which can handle them right.

BTW, there are perhaps close to twenty or more people from the Philippines on RFF. There is a very ACTIVE community (ca. 200 listed members) of RF users here.

edit: the local rangefinder online forum has 431 listed members, not just 200....rangefinders and film are still popular here.

I tried to get a local lab/dealer to do this and despite knowing him extremely well he was not interested in it.

I do know a couple off people who might take an online order but these people specialize in large custom prints and the price would be high (Bella Luce Studio in Makati).

You could post on the local group (rangefinderfilipinas.com) and see if somebody there could do it for you otherwise do as Jay has suggested and use a courier service to ship the images.
