The 18th Edition of the Doesburg Open Air Photographica Market in the Netherlands is scheduled on Sunday 19th of August 2012.

So who's going?
 
Sounds interesting.

It's a 2.5 hour drive so maybe someone can tell me, if it's worth it?
Any impressions from the las years?
 
Last year the weather put a damper on things. There was a weather warning for the afternoon and the heavy shower in the morning causing a lot of vendor's to quit early.
Some of the Dutch RFF members met up for a drink around noon.

The market consist of over a 150 stands worth of gear from across the history of photography running through the town center of Doesburg.

Last year we met with 6 or 8 Dutch members, a brief meeting since the weather warning was issued and we wanted to see the rest of the market before it was all boxed up.

Doesburg is a lovely little town with a historic city center, where the fair is.

There were a lot of nice stands, lots of quality gear and especially for accessories etc I found some nice deals there, collectible accessory stuff for petty cash.

Also a nice fair to pick up some film and have a drink with fellow members. This thread likely will be surfacing time and again until that weekend, so it's easy to hook up and meet!
 
Looking forward to strolling Doesburg again, this year I might try to find a place to crash the night before, so we can spend more time on the fair than we did last year.

Maybe illegally camp outside town, somewhere in the countryside 😎
 
Oh certainly. Still after a J-12 or something that does a similar job, still out for some accessory VF's or decent hack material 🙂D) and I'm thinking of finally (cough) getting the necessary chemicals to get going at home developing. I've run out of excuses, so I must set to it...

But all the received items have found their places and all is working well. Only thing left to do is to shoot more 🙂

Thanks for the PM about this Johan. I recently bought a camera from Secondhandcamera in Amsterdam and spoke with Peter about this and other shows in Holland but then forgot about it so I'm very grateful for the reminder.

I will definitely try to come. My wife's out of town so I'm free to play 🙂 It seems like a really interesting show!

Actually I am rather certain now that I'll be able to make it. The little hitch is that I can only drive there in the morning so I hope the fair won't have rained away by the time I get there. Gosh what's with the weather these days? 😕

Will there be an RFF meet-up perhaps?

Philipus wants to meet, I'm all up for a meet like last years' since it was a 30min-meet then, with the weather and all... And Derk and I were planning to arrive earlier this year anyway.
