Hi All,
I have a chrome 90mm V1 F2 Summicron I sometimes use on my Viso II/III (with the ZOOEP adapter), and a black 200mm F4 Telyt, both of which I like quite a lot. I'd like to have a high-speed, 135mm F2.8 lens, so I'd have something in the middle. What is your opinion of the 135mm F2.8 Elmarit, I know that it's big. Is the Summicron Viso mount interchangeable (if I read it right), and if so, all I would need is a chrome lens head. Is it a decently sharp lens, I know the goggled rangefinder is quite a lot to handhold, but is it OK to buy the chrome goggled version, with the removable head? I'm not familiar with it. Thanks!

The 135f2.8 is a nice lens - but it is clumsy to use with the goggles. Occasionally you see the Viso version of it for sale and that is a better solution. They are usually mint (as nobody seem to use them) and cheap too. I have one that I use with the Viso/SLR adapter on my Leicaflex (and I did try it on my Lumix G1 with the Lumix G1 tp M and the Viso to M adapter. Becomes a big 270f2.8!

Excellent news, Tom!
I'll begin my search for a chrome Viso version. I'll be sure to shoot lots of XX with it, in my Rapidwinder M2, when I find one

I have never heard of a chrome 135 2.8.
There were two versions of it made, the later being a little better. If you get one with 55 mm filters instead of ser VII, you will get the later verson. Visually. the shape of the rear element is different and you can tell that way, but it has been too long.
