Hi,
I'm looking to develop some ORWO UN54 (100 ISO) in HC110. There seems to be a dearth of times available for this combo. I'd like to use dilution B as I'm most familiar with that. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I shot a couple of rolls of uN54 then developed it in Rodinal 1:50. Lovely film. You might try a read across on other 100 or close films in Rodinal for an HC110 equivalent.

I do Perceptol 1:1 at 68 for 15 minutes, and expose the film at ISO 100. I wet print only, and like my negs a bit stouter than most folks. 13:30 - 14:00 is probably the "correct" time.

Agitation is 15 seconds when the developer goes in and then 2 inversions per minute.

Thanks, Bob, will give that a shot.

As to the original question, I have never tried HC-110 for UN54, but I was using XTOL 1:1 7minutes 30seconds at 20 degrees C with what I thought were really nice results. 30 seconds inversions to start then 2 gentle inversions every 30 seconds.
Smooth grain, creamy tones (unscientific descriptor), fairly contrasty, B & W cinema look, not surprisingly. This combo of film and developer works really well with a Summaron 35/2.8, I thought. Smooth.
My Lightroom tags are in disarray, or I would post an example.

The only other developer I had any experience with in combination with this film was Fuji Microfine and did not like the results at all. Am looking forward to trying the Perceptol.
