I have several of these little Minox 35 EL clones, and not one of them agree on shutter speed selection (The camera sets the shutter speed automatically via the built in light meter) when you set the aperture.

I know there must be some trim-pots inside to calibrate the shutter speeds, and somewhere in the past I have read about this and how to dis-assemble the darn thing, but I cannot find the info now. I believe I read about dis-assembly on a web site, or forum post somewhere.

I wouldn't be concerned, but these little cameras have an extremely nice 35mm f2.8 lens, and fit into a shirt pocket, and have "guess" focusing ring, so they are capable of very good near Leica like photos if the exposure is good. I have tack sharp 11x17
b/w prints from some of my tri-x negs from these cameras.

An excellent camera to take with you when you go on a bicycle ride, as they don't add any significant weight or bulk to the trip.

Note...this is the full frame 35mm camera about the size of a pack of king size cigarettes, that is an almost exact copy of the Minox 35 EL.

I have a Kiev 35 and agree about lens sharpness. Unfortunately, don't no anything about shutter adjustment. Can't say that I have ever seen much on Kiev repair other that solving light leak problems (transparent body). I thought the only shutter adjustment was to throw it away and get another one.

Well, any electronically timed shutter will have an adjustment somewhere inside, as they are supposed to be "calibrated" when assembled, as the natural variation in electronic parts would require some kind of final adjustment.

I am going to "open 'er up" soon, whether I find any knowledge on the subject or not, and I will report.
