FYI - If you happen to have a surplus camera or two and want to do a good deed. I have no connection to this club, don't even reside in the area, just saw the news item and thought I'd pass it along where it might do some good.

For those who don't know, a 'technical high school' in the USA is usually a vocational training school - for those going into the trades after graduation and not on to college or university. Carpenters, metal workers, plumbers, that type of thing.

Anyway, here's the info - in case anyone is interested.

North Shore Tech photography club

The North Shore Technical High School Photography Club is an extracurricular activity for students interested in learning the art and practical applications of photography. The NST Photography Club is seeking donations of used or extra equipment - SLR, automatic and manual cameras, digital and film-based; point-and-shoot cameras; camera bodies with compatible lenses and attachments - flashes, shutter releases, etc.; lighting equipment, screens, and developing equipment. The cameras and peripherals will be used for students who do not have cameras or to provide experience with a wide range of equipment.

Donations can be dropped off at North Shore Technical High School, 30 Log Bridge Rd., Middleton, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The NST Photography Club will accept donations for this year's season through May.
