Other Areas Ottawa: time for a get-together?

All those T.O. get togethers are beginning to make me feel like I'm being negligent! Since there are at least four of us RFFers in Ottawa, we should plan a get together.

I've been e-mailing Dean already, who's been talking with Anandi and has suggested getting together at the new-ish photo/cafe on Sussex one Wednesday evening.

Not sure who else is from Ottawa, given one cannot search that info. I know that somecanuckchick is also based in Ottawa, and has gone to a T.O. get together.

Any other Ottawa (or environs) RFF'ers up for a meeting?

Oui, c'est vrai, I have been to the TO Meet-ups... I wasn't aware there were many - or any - people in the Ottawa-Hull area besides myself.

I'm actually on the Quebec side... 5 minutes from the Champlain Bridge... so if there is a December Meet-up for RFF'ers... I am able to attend. However, after the 21st I will be in the T-Dot for Christmas/New Year's...

Any ideas for a location? Tomorrow evening is the NCC's Official Illumination Ceremony of the Christmas Lights Across Canada program. And I shall be in attendance...

I'm still up for it, but the holidays get booked fast. I could do lunch as well - in some ways easier for me with 2 kids to put to bed 🙂
 
I was thinking weekday lunch maybe downtown / central to be closest to everyone, since it's the holidays work lunchtime seems to be more accessible than
weekend time - but that's just my 0.02c

Meet-up Ideas

Meet-up Ideas

Perhaps we could find time on a weekend... maybe when people are less involved with work/strapped for time to meet-up and have a little walkabout. Something close to Parliament would be ideal for me... I cannot say that I am fond of venturing into the 'burbs.
 
That's probably a safer idea. I tend to have an aversion to the market area just because I spent 7 years at Ottawa U and hence photographed the crap out of that area! Perhaps it will do me good to look at it through a more mature set of eyes LOL!
 
I'm most likely the most flexible.
I'll let you two and anandi arrange something.
