OZXVO is the short cable release from LTM body to Viso I or PLOOT.

Has anyone any experience of the internals of an OZXVO? I have one that doesn't work. In an old Leica Way guide it says that it shouldn't be operated unless connected.

I know nothing more but would appreciate any snippets of info.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I've worked on mine. The camera end has a flared ring on the button you push, that pushes on the end of the "cable release" in the flexible tube. At the other end, that trips a catch that lets the spring loaded internal button push down the button the Visoflex. When you push the button on the top of the Viso end of the OZXVO, a sleeve goes down, catches the latch, and pulls the internal button back up, restoring the Viso mirror.

There's very little margin for error in the whole design. Very much German over-engineered.

The two tiny screws on the knurl at the Viso end hold that knurl in place. The screw opposite the cable release at the Viso end holds the guts together there. I think there's some slight ability to adjust the length of the "cable release" part, and this dimension is critical.
