Is there anyone else, who find annoying that silver frontal ring on black lens body? Skopar, Nokton, Biogon, Planar - they all lack that elegance of Leica lenses...
Anyone tried to paint it black? How? Anodizing? Any disassemble manuals?

I agree with you about that look of the Voigtlanders. Some time ago, I think I managed to pop a reducing type adapter ring (something like a 58-to-55mm... I don't remember the size) over the silver lugs.

Yes, I hate that ugly bayonet too, while I love it on the steel-rim Summilux.

The most beautiful looking Voigtländers LTM are: Color Skopar 50mm f/2.5 in black paint (rivals the painted Leica lenses), the Color Skopar 28mm f/3.5 in black paint (also extremely beautiful) and the Ultron 35mm f/1.7 aspherical in black paint. The name ring of this lens is as ugly as can be, but you can remove the red paint from the "ASPHERICAL" word and repaint this and the other words with a smooth gray color. Looks much better then.

Erik.

I've done such mod on a Nokton 35/1.4 with a Tamiya Acrylic paint, gloss black. Looks much better, and you can remove the paint if you ever decide to sell the lens.

Oh wow! Can you show i picture of that lens with ring painted?
How did you perform that? Without disassembling?

Sorry, I sold it some time ago, that's how I know it's reversible. Acrylic paint is water soluble so it's easy to re-do mistakes, just get a good brush, something like Daler Rowney Flat Shader. Also cover the front lens with paper etc.

Get a filter (preferably black) and pop a hood on the lens and then you won't see much of the chrome at all.
