Painting Hawkeyes

I have been looking at painted Kodak Hawkeyes, and want to give it a try. I have painted the silver plate around the lens before, but now want to try painting the body. A couple of questions though, how do you handle the rivets on the handle, wind knob, and name plate. What type of paint do you use on Bakelite, that will stand up to use.
Would love to see pics of painted cameras.
