I can't help you with your search. I know there are RFF members in that area, but I don't know if any of them use 4x5 and/or know of any sources. There is always ebay and Craig's List, and the chance for bad purchases that go with them. Have you looked at KEH, or any of the other big sellers?
Will this be your first camera or first film camera?

From what I remember (it's been a couple of years), there were still a fairly good number of secondhand camera stores in the LA area. If I were you, I'd look there first and do some telephoning. The classified ads on photo forums are also a good source. You could post a want-to-buy ad. I found my Speed on an ad in the classified section of this very forum (I think). Member ads in photo forums are generally more honest and informative than the ones on Craigs List or eBay.
