My phototherm manual says that Pan F is not recommended, I would assume because of the constant machine agitation. I got an expired 17m roll of it (ex 2005) and tried a few frames rated at 50 and at about 30. They both seem a about the same.

I am getting low contrast with TMax Dev at 5 3/4 minutes with this film. After scanning the frames look pretty good (see sample below) But I am wondering if i should bump the time up a minute to see if the negs are more dense.

Any tips or suggestions?

Thanks

Well, if they are too low in contrast then yes, increase dev time. I am presuming you are getting the right amount of shadow detail, right?

I am getting a lot of shadow detail, and actually I am getting pretty good files after levels and contrast curves. I think I'll try increasing and then make a decision, thanks.
