Panasonic DMC-GF Question

So I was on the UK Panasonic website and was looking at the DMC-GF cameras and I'm not sure why the price of the DMC-GF 2 is cheaper than the 3? and the 3 has HD features?

GF2 - 579.99 GBP
GF3 - 548.99 GBP

...and the design of the GF3 is so ugly! :p
