Paper profiles no longer recognized?

the following is a problem I'm encountering in Photoshop CS used on a Mac w/an Epson 1280. Under the proof set up the only pfofiles that are working properley are the Epson papers. All others exhibit wild color shifts and print as shown. Does any one know why these profiles do not view and print as expected? Epson tells me its an Adobe issue. Adobe so far has been unresponsive to my email requests. Anyhelp would be appreciated.
