I would love to see this show get more sellers to fill up the room...it used to be much better with twice the vendors...over the past few years I've maybe spent $100 in there...mostly picking up small items there but not the ones on my list...

I agree with the other Sam.
This is the only show that's close-ish to me now that the Carson one has move much further away to Anaheim.

I used to attend the one in Buena Park. I think it moved to Carson?

Yup, Bagnall is back in Anaheim because Carson was charging too much city tax from the vendors (or something along those lines). The Pasadena show has been pretty sad lately...the admission has been halved to $2 and the stuff I have seen of late is not worth my time to drive there and pay the $2 to get in. Usually Bagnall is better, but the last one I went to back in November when it was still in Carson was very unimpressive in terms of quality of items sold and total number of vendors.

i bet we socal rffers could have one hell of a swap meet. anybody want to trade something for a rolleiflex 2.8e2 or nikon f, both in excellent condition?

It would be cool to meet up, but I think the whole swap thing only works if people are willing to let things go. I'm the packrat...so far I haven't and don't plan on selling or trading anything because I just got started on the whole rangefinder thing. But of course you can always count me in to check out the gear that is up for sale/trade.

Has anyone been to the Anaheim Show and if you have how was it...
I remember when it was in the two rooms at the Sequoia Club, then it was just the one room...I went to two shows in Carson when it first moved there but haven't been since...
I might give the Anaheim Show a go if it's worth the drive...

I've never been the the Anaheim show. I'm wondering whether it might be slightly better now since the vendors supposedly won't be discouraged by the city taxes they were once subject to in Carson. The last two Carson shows I went to this past October and November were pretty bad (half the space, no equipment that piqued my interest). The September Carson show was decent...I think vendors occupied the whole space and some guy had two Canon 50/1.2 RF lenses that caught my eye.
Vendors will probably still want to peddle their goods, but I'm not sure whether they're as motivated since the economy still sucks and not as many people are in a buying mood.

Pasadena is a smaller show and seller attendance varies, especially
around the holiday season but it can be quite good. Last month
a collector was there selling a very nice collection of vintage items
at bargain prices. In fact, some at amazingly low prices. I saw
Contarex, Rollei, Leica and many others including several Fujica
medium format cameras moving briskly.

I bought a few things. One seller was practically giving stuff away
(mostly 70s-80s SLRs) toward the end of the show. His table was
very popular.
Not much RF stuff this time though. But I did pick up a nice
German Rolleiflex SL35/Planar with a Rollei-made adapter to
mount LTM lenses on it.
