Hi - I'm new here. This is an excellent and informative forum.
I've acquired a Pentacon FM and I need to change the curtains and adjust the tension. I've read Rick Oleson's excellent notes on the subject and searched far and wide. Everything I've found seems to say the same thing.
As far as I can gather, the film gate can be lifted out of the back of the camera without removing the top and front of the camera. Just undo four screws and line up the groove on the sprocket spool and lift ...
Mine lifts slightly, from the other end, but there is no apparent way that it will come out. Am I missing a trick?
