The frame counter on my Pentacon six stops counting at about 6 or 7. It looks as though this should be a relatively simple repair since the counter is inside of the film advance lever but I do not see an obvious way to remove this lever. Can anyone tell me how to remove the film advance lever to get at the counter?

Some potentially useful pictures on this web site if you can deal with the irritating pop-ups:

The second page shows how to remove the lever.

I tried removing the ASA reminder dial by sliding a needle under it but had no luck. First off, I was not able to get a needled between this dial and the film advance lever. Then, even if I had been able to, it looked like the needle would break before I would be able to apply enough force to remove the dial.
Any ideas?

One of the typical Pentcon 6 problems. It was years ago when I use it. The best solution is to drill a hole in the back door, clue a red glass and watch while transporting film for the numbers on the paper of the film. Thus you can get one more shot not 12, but 13 because transport latitude is too big.
